The QSP team once again had the pleasure of joining Liz and the Athletes Foot team at their Wintergarden store for the Athletes Foot Annual Health Professional Breakfast.
We were brought up to speed on the latest products and services that the Athletes Foot offer that may assist some of our patients suffering from foot or lower limb conditions or injuries. We also took the opportunity to catch up with some of our health professional peers from the podiatry and exercise physiology fields to discuss some of the current concerns faced by our ever-growing running population.
Also present at the breakfast were representatives from Asics, Adidas, Brooks, Nike and Saucony to spruik the latest technology being utilised in their shoe products to maximise comfort, support and performance for all foot types as well as models targeting common running conditions and injuries encountered.
With each rep the team went over some of the finer points regarding individual shoe models offered as well as their tailored advantages when used in various environments be it walking, running or cross training. A big feature in the new products this year is the ever growing field of minimal running shoes in which almost all brands have models of now.
The QSP team had a great time and would like to thank Liz and her team as well as the reps that took the time to speak with us. No doubt the valuable information gained from the event will help us to guide our patients in the future with their decision-making when it comes to shoe selection!
